Linda Darnell Grooms

Linda Darnell Grooms, 72, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

Born on December 28, 1949, she was a lifelong resident of the Charleston area, raising her family and others on James Island for over 50 years.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John T. Grooms, Sr.

Linda is survived by her son, John T. Grooms, Jr, her daughter, Misty Grooms, along with her granddaughter, Julia Grooms, and her granddog, Sawyer.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 5, 2022, from 4:00-6:00pm at McAlister-Smith, 347 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412.

The service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 6, 2022 also at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 347 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412. The burial will be held at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414.
