Linda G Brunson

Linda G. Brunson, 81, of Summerville, SC passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024.

Born on February 22, 1943 in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Maragret Paradice Gruber and the late Carlos M. Gruber. 

Linda retired from the SC Department of Social Services.  She was a member of Eastern Star and Milcah Temple Daughters of the Nile.  Her hobbies included gardening, reading novels, and crossword puzzles.  She also enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and the Duke University basketball team play on tv.  The greatest treasures in her life were her family with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren being the most precious.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, E. Ellis Brunson, Jr.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Lori Powers (Tony) of Summerville, SC; her son, E. Ellis Brunson III (Renee) of North Charleston, SC; her two grandchildren, Thomas Ayre (Emily) and Kelsey Slaton (Steven); her two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Memphis; and her siblings, Bill Gruber (Jackie) of Sale Creek, TN, Michael Gruber (Debbie) of Charleston, SC, and Debbie McPheeters of Goose Creek, SC.

The memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 1:00PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 869 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445. The burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lowcountry Community Hospice House-Agape Care, 374 Myers Road, Summerville, SC 29486.
