Lamar Annette Sallee, 60, of Summerville, SC, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
Born on June 7, 1963, in Temple, TX, Lamar was the daughter of the late Judith Ann Adams Sallee and the late Donald Wayne Sallee, Sr.
Lamar first and foremost was a proud US Navy Veteran. Lamar, always kind and genuine, was on a quest to find the good in every person she came into contact with daily. Her love of nature, animals, and being outdoors was woven throughout her entire life. Lamar was very proud of the various roles of her long career at Boeing, both in Everett Washington and Charleston SC. In total Lamar worked for Boeing over 25 years. Most importantly, Lamar loved her family, especially all her cousins, nieces, and nephews; indeed, her friends and coworkers at Boeing were truly the wind beneath her wings. Her two true loves were her cats.
In addition to her parents, Lamar is preceded in death her brother, Jeff Sallee.
Lamar is survived by her sister, Deborah Sallee Stone; brother, Donald Sallee Jr; sister-in-law, April Bailey; her nieces Desiree Barbee, Patty Blanchette, Sophia Raymond, Elisabeth Hayes and her nephews David Sallee, Mason Bailey, Jacob Sallee, and Jameson Sallee. In addition, Lamar had numerous great- nieces and great-nephews that she often liked to brag about to her friends and collegues.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant.
