Leticia Ofelia Vazquez-Bruno Kenty, 87 of Ladson, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025.
Born on May 11, 1937, in San Juan, Puerto Rico Leticia was the daughter of the late Leticia Ofelia Vazquez-Bruno (Basso) and US Army Captain Edgardo Antonio Vazquez-Bruno.
Leticia was raised in Las Marias, P.R. at the Hacienda Juanita, the large sugar cane and coffee plantation started by her father. She was always a ballerina at heart. She was a proud Navy Captain’s wife, devoted mother and homemaker, talented receptionist and hotel event coordinator. She was a world traveler and an avid gardener, Christ follower, prayer warrior, and loving “Titi Letty” to her nieces and nephews.
Leticia is preceded in death by her husband USAF Col. William R. Kenty, her parents, and a brother Edgardo Narciso Vazquez-Bruno Basso.
Leticia is survived by sons William O. Huckabay III and Edgar A. Huckabay; sister in law Mercedes Suau Vazquez; nieces Maria Nalbach and Margarita Vazquez Lobosco and nephews Edgardo Vazquez and Luis Vazquez.
Leticia’s burial will be with her second husband USAF Col. William Kenty at Arlington National Cemetery Arlington, VA.
