Leroy Spivey, 70, of Charleston , SC, and husband to Anne K. Spivey, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 12, 2017. Born on June 22, 1946 in Charleston, SC, he was a son of the late Albert Leroy Spivey and Hazel Jones Spivey.
Leroy was in the Army and veteran of the Vietnam War and was also a member of the American Legion Post 147 and the VFW Post 445. He retired after 43 years as Vice President with Redi-Mix Concrete Company. Leroy loved adventure including, skydiving, motorcycle riding, sports cars, fishing, scuba diving and all water activities. Leroy will be remembered as one that loved his family and never met a stranger.
Besides his wife, Anne, of 51 years, Leroy is survived by two sons, Travis Kyle Spivey and Jason R. Spivey both of Charleston, SC.
A Celebration of His Life will be held on Saturday, March 25 from 3-6 at VFW Post 445, 1639 Camp Rd, Charleston, SC 29412. The VFW Color Guard will conduct the ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Post 147 or VFW Post 445 on James Island.
