Leonard Nathaniel Astfalk

Leonard Nathaniel Astfalk, 81, of Goose Creek, SC passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

Born on November 30, 1942 in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of the late Irene Bowen Astfalk and the late Leonard Astfalk.

Leonard was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #6629. He was also the Treasurer of the Lions Club of Summerville, SC. He loved gardening and cooking. He made such a delicious lasagna! He loved his family and his church family. He was also so very proud of his long military career having served his country for 35 years in the US Airforce. 

Leonard is preceded in death by his parents.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Charlene Astfalk; his daughter, Amy Jakubowski; his son, Matthew Astfalk; his step-daughter, Judy White (Gary); his brother, Gregory Astfalk (Deborah); his sister, Bernadette Mackow (Adam); his granddaughter, Victoria White; his grandson, Max Astfalk; and his great-granddaughter, Melody Astfalk.

The mass service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 starting at 11:00am at St. John The Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Ave., Summerville, SC 29483.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
