On a beautiful and glorious Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, Lee Todd Koster passed away peacefully at Roper Hospital. She was surrounded by loving family members. Heaven indeed welcomed a new Saint.
Lee led a wonderful life filled with excitement, travel all over the world, as well as a second home in Maine. Her life was highlighted by successes and honors and always accompanied the “love of her life” Ronald Bernard Koster, family members and friends.
Lee was a lovely Christian woman, fun loving with sparkling eyes and a quick wit. She was well known for her kindness to all in need. In her earlier years, she was a tireless and devoted worker for many causes, including The March of Dimes, and for her Church, Wesley Memorial United Methodist in Hollywood, South Carolina.
Lee was employed by SCE&G for more than 30 years rising to the status of an Engineer. When she finally retired, Lee liked to say “I never looked back.”
Nothing in Lee’s life would have been possible without her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. He was the source of the strength by which Lee accomplished all she did and by this knowledge we are assured that she died in peace.
Lee was predeceased by her parents, C.J. and Alma Holmes Todd; her stepmother, Lee Fergerson Todd; her twin brothers Delbert Franklin Todd and Elbert Randolph Todd and her loving husband Ronald Bernard Koster. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Jill Canning Todd, nephews, Delbert Franklin “Del” Todd, Jr., and Keith Brian Todd; niece, Carolyn Sue Todd Young. Also, her cousins, Jason Davis Holt, Edwin Ray Todd, Jo Sellers Jordan, Sheri Ammons Ackerman, Jane Ammons Ford, Elizabeth Sellers Boyd, Reverend Stephen Gerald “Jerry” Johnson, John Kelly Johnson, Brett Anthony Jordan, Doris Todd Sowell, Carol Todd Thomas and Clara Todd Seagin.
Lee is also survived by her loving brother-in-law John A. Hare, numerous nieces and nephews; her devoted Property Manager and close family friend, Hezekiah “Link” Holmes, and her adorable rag doll cat P.J. also known as “Pure Joy”.
The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nurses at St. Francis Hospital, Roper Hospital and NHC for their extraordinary care of Lee while hospitalized and in rehabilitation.
