Lawrence Edward Killen, 82, of Summerville, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on August 30th, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife Margaret H Killen, and parents William Murrell and Ethel Denney.
Larry, had a successful career in the US Navy, retiring as a SCPO after 22 years. After retiring from the Navy, Larry worked at the Shipyard and attended Trident Technical College. Once achieving an Associate's Degree in business, Larry channeled all his energy on his biggest accomplishment, his family.
He loved spending quality time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his four sisters, Lois, Lou-Ann, Peggy and Thrya Kay, his eight children, Michael Killen (Jocelyn) , Shaun Killen (Sandy) , Ann Davis (Kent), Maureen Curtis (Brent), John Fulton (Linda), Eric Killen, Briana Peck (Joe), and Angela Reynolds, fourteen Grandchildren and twenty four Great-Grandchildren
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the McAlister-Smith Funeral Chapel, 869 St James Ave, Goose Creek, SC 29445. A Service will immediately follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Burial following in the Summerville Cemetery, 1330 Boonehill Road, Summerville SC 29486.
