Laura Zeigler Fuller

Laura Zeigler Fuller, a devoted mother, wonderful sister, and loving grandmother, died March 21, 2024 at the age of 76 at Trident Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. She was surrounded by her loving daughters and sister. Born August 3, 1947, in Orangeburg, South Carolina to the late William Cooper Zeigler Sr., and Ora Crider Barnes, Laura was a devoted lover of all thing’s nature. Her gardens and flowers were of special importance to her, filled with birds, rabbits, and butterflies. She loved watching all of God’s creatures. She had a particular love for sitting on the back deck, listening to wind chimes, bird watching, and looking forward to her summer tomato and cucumber crop to harvest. She loved her backyard birds. Holidays brought a particular joy to Laura. Holidays of any kind were always celebrated with a door wreath or a baked dessert.

Nothing thrilled her more than to decorate the house for Christmas. She loved to watch the family unwrap Christmas presents each year. As an avid crafter, she worked with joy on everything from soap making to cross-stitching. Laura loved to go on her summer vacation each year. She always enjoyed a new adventure. She had a compassionate heart and never hesitated to help anyone in need. The title of Mama eventually gave way to NayNay as her wonderful grandchildren became part of her life. It is this title that perhaps gave Laura her greatest joy. She knew each day on earth was a gift from God. Her memory will continue and be kept alive by her loving daughters, Cindy Kerr (LeeAnn) of Hanahan and Tonya Feigt (Dana) of Hanahan; grandchildren: Tyler Feigt, Jonathan Kerr (Maquela), and Justin Feigt. Laura is survived by a wonderful great grandchild, Hudson Finley Larson Kerr and her siblings, Catherine Zeigler of Summerville, and Mike Zeigler (Karen) of Tullahoma, Tennessee. Laura was predeceased by her parents and a sibling, William C. Zeigler Jr. of Alexandria, LA.

“So, with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” – John 16:22
