Larry Lee Pharaoh, 81, of North Charleston, passed away February 14, 2017.
Born in Peru, Nebraska, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Vida Pharaoh and husband to Emma Pharaoh. Larry served in the United States Navy and did two tours in Vietnam. He retired from the Navy as an Engineman Petty Officer First Class after twenty one years of service. Larry later worked as a Nuclear Valve Technician in Shop 38 at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and spending time with his wife and family. He was a member of the Corvair Club and the American Pool Association.
Larry is survived by his wife of fifty years, Emma L. Pharaoh; daughters, Vickie Shantie of Conway and Renee Pharaoh of Hiawassee, GA; sons, Daniel Stoneburner of North Charleston and Steven Stoneburner and wife Jean of Florence, AL; brother, Gerald "Jerry" Pharaoh of Ogden, Iowa; sister, Linda Carlson of Ogden Iowa; six grandchildren, Michael and Jamey Sillanpaa, Shawn and Tony Shantie, Amanda Kanehl and Alec Stoneburner; ten great-grand children.
He was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Carolyn Thacker and Sandra Klinger.
The Celebration of Life Services will be Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel.
