Larry Eugene Ostrander

Larry Eugene Ostrander, better know as "Geno" was an avid outdoorsman who loved the woods and water, he really enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends! He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. He would drop anything to help anyone, especially his children.

There was never a dull moment with Geno around and was always the life of the party. Geno loved to eat and was an amazing cook. Geno retired from the phone company after over 30 years of service as an electronics technician. Born and raised in Charleston, SC. In his younger years, Geno was also an avid snow skier and runner. Geno was a long-time member of the Charleston Yacht Club, greater Charleston Ski Club, Blue House Hunting Club, and Hash House Harriers.

He is survived by his children Chris Ostrander and Heather Ostrander, brothers Bobby Ostrander, David Ostrander, Kenny Ostrander, and sister Patty Rose, and his ex-wife Deborah Huffstettler Ostrander.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, August 13 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McAlister-Smith Funeral Home at 2501 Bees Ferry Road in Charleston, SC. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 7:00 PM at the McAlister-Smith Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA or the Outdoor Dream Foundation.
