Kory Eric Nason

Kory Eric Nason, 31, of Charleston, SC, passed away on June 27, 2018.

He was born on July 19, 1986 in Claremont, NH, son of Tressa Merrill Heinen and the late Lonnie Nason.

He came to Charleston at the age of 3 and has always considered Charleston his home. He attended West Ashley High School where he played multiple sports including football and wrestling. He had a great love for the outdoors leading him to establish Nason’s Tree Service. His biggest joy was spending time with his son Daylin. Family was always very important to him. Most of his time was spent outdoors building fires, boating, fishing, camping, hunting, wrestling alligators and surrounded by a group of friends with a cold beer in his hand. Kory’s fearless pursuit of life always lead him to one great adventure after another. He was always the center of attention and had a smile that would light up a room when he walked in. If you needed him he did not hesitate to come running and he would give you his last dollar if you needed it. He was so loved by so many.

Kory is preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Nason of Claremont NH; grandparents: Scott H. Frizzell of Claremont, NH; Martin Lee Nason of NH and Arthur and Linnie Heinen of Charleston, SC.

He will be missed by his son, Daylin Nason of Charleston; his parents, Tressa and Craig Heinen of Charleston, SC; siblings: Katharine Heinen of Charleston, SC and Nicholas Heinen of Charleston, SC; grandparents, Lorraine Frizzell of Claremont, NH; Ann Dube of Claremont, NH; Daniel and Midge Merrill of Charlestown, NH; many aunts, uncles, cousins and too many friends to count.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley.
