Kenneth Hampton Jr.

Mr. Kenneth M. Hampton Jr., 67, husband of Kathleen M. Sank Hampton, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina passed away on March 31, 2014 surrounded by his family. Kenneth was born June 21, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland, and was the son of the late Kenneth Hampton, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Grace Byers Hampton. He retired from Bunch Transport, Inc. in March of 2009 after 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 44 years; his son, Kenneth Hampton, III (fiance, Virginia Breedlove) and his daughter, Kristie Peterson; his grandchildren, Donald McCall, III (Amanda), Somer Joy Hampton, Devin Peterson, Kyle Hampton and Cody Hampton; 4 great grandchildren; his brother, Wayne Hampton; and his sisters, Elaine Ash, Brenda McGuire and Dawn Gillespie (Ricky). The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 869 St. James Ave., Goose Creek. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 1 P.M. in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment to follow at Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner, SC.
