Kathleen Mead Palmer

Kathleen Mead Palmer, 74, of Summerville, SC entered into eternal rest on March 08, 2021.

Born on September 21, 1946 in Queens, New York, Kathleen was the daughter of the late Arthur Mead and Lillian Mead.

She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church, she didn't get to attend as much as possible but loved the lord and prayed daily. She was very proud of her Norwegian Ancestry and participated in The Fraternal Order of the sons of Norway. She loved to write poetry, paint and do arts and crafts and spend as much time as possible with her kids and grandchildren. She retired from SCANA after more than 20 years of service.

Kathleen is survived by her son William Lee Palmer II (Jessica) of Tampa, FL , her daughter Deborah Palmer (Charlene) of Summerville, SC and Son Brian S Palmer (Rachel) of Woodbridge, VA. She is the proud grandmother of Anastasia, Megan, Amelia, Andrew, Kayleigh, Landyn, Gwyndolyn, Sven, Tristan and several cousins and extended family and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Ronald and Richard Mead and her best friends Janey Halady and Esther Anderson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation (Goose Creek).

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation (Goose Creek). The burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Gardens. Everyone is welcome to gather afterwards at Kathleen's house.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathleen`s memory may be sent to The American Heart Association.
