Katherine Hope Risser

Katherine Hope Risser, 59 of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, July 20^th, 2022.

Katherine was born on September 14^th, 1962, in Bristol, TN and was the daughter of Katherine Keller Hobbs and William Hobbs.

Katherine earned a Bachelor’s degree at East Tennessee State University and a Master’s degree at the University of Kentucky. She was an active member at Unity Christian Church and Central United Methodist Church, both located in Radford, VA. Katherine relocated to Mount Pleasant, SC later in life to be close to her daughter and grandchildren. She enjoyed attending church, spending time at the beach, music, and had a deep love for all animals.

Katherine is survived by Jeffrey Risser (Husband), Samantha Peters (Daughter), Clara Peters (Granddaughter), Daniel Peters (Son-in-law), and Anne McClain (Sister).

The celebration of life memorial will be held on Friday, July 29th, at 9:00 AM at the Isle of Palms County Park, 1 14th Ave, Isle of Palms, SC.
