Born on October 29, 1945 in Paranaque, Philippines, he was the Son of the late Asuncion Cruz Respicio and Julian Respicio.

Joseph was an avid sports fan and counted the Philadelphia Flyers, 76ers, and Eagles among his favorite teams to cheer on. A lifetime lover of all kinds of music, Joseph taught himself both the guitar and piano and enjoyed playing any chance he could. When he wasn’t enjoying his favorite sports teams and music, Joseph loved cooking and creating food dishes for his family and friends as well as watching shows such as Jeopardy and British sitcoms on PBS.
Upon his retirement and move to South Carolina, Joseph became an active and devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a very proud member of the Knights of Columbus.
