Joseph Leonard Pirt

Joseph Leonard "Joe" Pirt, 82 of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, surrounded by the ones he loves the most.

Born on May 5, 1942, in Brownsville, PA, Joe was the son of the late Elizabeth Rush Pirt and the late George Pirt.

Joe loved Jesus Christ his Savior, his "girls" (Alice, Lori, and Sarah), his church, and fishing.

Joe is preceded in death by his father, George Pirt; mother, Elizabeth Pirt; brothers, George Pirt and Jerry Pirt; and sisters: Grace Glagola, Sarah Parsons, Betty Flick, Patricia Dunseath, & Donna Frisco.

Joe is survived by his wife, Alice Pirt; daughters, Lori Pirt and Sarah Eason; and sisters: Mary Jane Black, Hannah Steven, Martha Cumashot, Roberta Dugan, and Wanda Williams.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at McAlisterSmith Funeral & Cremation - Goose Creek, 869 St. James Avenue in Goose Creek, South Carolina.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Carnes Crossroads Church of God, 1341 State Road in Summerville, South Carolina. The burial will be held at Riverview Cemetery in North Charleston, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers.
