Joseph Crosby Kelly

Joseph Crosby Kelly, 79, of Mount Pleasant, SC passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018.
Crosby was born on June 14, 1939, in Bridgeport, CT, son of the late Joseph and Marion Kelly, and brother of the late Colin Kelly. As a child, his lifelong love for the water began with fishing, swimming, and boating. These all became a regular part of his life.
Crosby attended the Citadel in Charleston, SC and graduated in 1962. He persued his career in sales, eventually becoming vice president of sales and marketing for Lab Security in CT. He and Linda moved back to the Charleston area, settling in Mount Pleasant to enjoy their retirement.
Crosby will be greatly missed by Linda Kelly, wife of 33 years; best friend and companion, Charley for the last 13 years; sons, Tim (Kim) of Glastonbury, CT, and Matt (Susi) of Jackson Hole, WY; daughter, Penny (Jon) of Branford, CT; stepson, Steve (Molly) Boysel of Columbus, OH; 6 grandchildren, Abbie, Erin, Eli, Zaide, Keenan, and Lylian.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 3:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home James Island Location. 347 Folly Rd. Charleston, SC, 29412. The family will receive friends following the service.
