Mr. Joseph Albert Firetti, 72, of North Charleston, SC, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. He was born on Sunday, August 23, 1942 in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Carmela Mauro Firetti and the late Frank Firetti. Joe was an avid golfer, boater, world traveler and fisherman. He was a Civil War enthusiast and loved living in Charleston. He owned and operated Firetti Builders, Inc. in the Baltimore, MD and the Southport, NC areas for 30 years. Joe served as president of the Homebuilders Association of MD and past Director of Finance Committee for St. Louis Catholic Church, Clarksville, MD. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Amy Fusaro Firetti of North Charleston, SC; two daughters: Christina Kerr (David) of Lexington, SC and Joanna Leishear (Troy) of Ellicott City, MD; and son, Joseph Firetti (Pamela) of Leland, NC; two stepsons: Dean Casagrande of Baltimore, MD and Luke Casagrande (Kelly Lynn) of Lutherville, MD; eight grandchildren: Casey Belle (Walter), Nicholas Varner, Ryan Kerr, T.J. Leishear, Reid Heath, Andrew Casagrande and Madelynn Casagrande; great granddaughter, Ellyson Belle, his ex-wife, Fran Nisbet Firetti of Howard County, MD and three sisters, Josephine Hughes of Charleston, WV, Mary Barnhardt of Hickory, NC and Christina Riffle of Ohio. Joe is predeceased by his brother, Sam Firetti. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7, 2015, from 12:00p.m. until 1:00p.m., at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 1:00p.m. in the chapel, with Pastor Ron Hamilton officiating.
