Jonathan Andrew Infante left this world on November 28, 2023, after a long and difficult battle with bipolar disorder. Jon was born in Durham, NC on March 9, 1998, to Andrew Infante and Dawn Lohr. He was stepson to Gary Lohr. Jon was a loving brother to Christopher, Allison, and Anderson and also step-siblings Virginia and Jackson Lohr.
He will be greatly missed by his grandparents: Frank Infante, Sharon Infante, Sandy and Jerry Petty, and Nicholas Lewiski; his aunt and uncle, Rosemary and TJ Costello; his cousin, Gannon Costello; and his uncle, Brian Lewiski—as well as many friends and extended family members.
Jon grew up in Mt. Pleasant, SC, graduated from Wando High School, and achieved an associate’s degree in Computer Technology-Information Systems from Trident Technical College.
He had a brilliant mathematical mind, and he loved coding, playing soccer, and his cats, Adrina and Karine. His hopes and dreams were visionary, altruistic, and empathetic, even as he navigated his challenges.
All those who loved him are invited to attend the memorial service that will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 4:00 pm to 6:00 PM. Immediately following will be a Eulogy at 4:30 pm, and a visitation from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral home in Mount Pleasant, SC. In the spring there will be a larger celebration of life, the date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, the family has created THE JONATHAN ANDREW FOUNDATION, which was created to help raise awareness about mental health issues in young adults. Donations can be made by clicking the link below
