Johnny Larry Faircloth, 75, of Ridgeville, SC, entered into God's Glory on January 17, 2021, surrounded by loved ones, hand in hand with his son reading a Psalm to him.
Born on March 7, 1945 in Charleston, SC, Johnny was a son of Vincent & Vinnie Faircloth and raised by his loving sister Emmeline Elrod and her husband Harold Elrod, who loved him like a son.
Johnny was an Army Veteran who did three-tours in Vietnam and spent his entire lifetime healing from the scars done to a young impressionable heart. He, like too many veterans, tried to cover up the pain and anguish by chasing thrills that sadly led him to a lifetime of regret. He was, however, throughout a mighty hard worker, a force of nature, a man of true grit, true integrity and honor where his word was worth more than life itself. Through the years GOD worked many miracles into his life. Turning his troubled heart towards Christ, in which he found the refuge and peace he had been searching for! He was a great man and now his amazing spirit is finally free in Heaven and will always be in our hearts!
Besides his long-term partner of 21 years, Anna Hamer, Johnny is survived by his son, Johnny G Faircloth and daughter-in-law, Tonia Faircloth; grandson, Ghari Faircloth; his sister, Emmeline Elrod and brother-in-law Harold Elrod; and many beautiful nieces and wonderful nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Johnny`s memory may be sent to Tonia Faircloth at 210 Powell Dr., Summerville, SC 29483 to take care of his estate.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Beaufort National Cemetery.
