John R Knowlson

John R. Knowlson, 83, of Hanahan, husband to Polly Knowlson of 57 years, entered into eternal rest on January 04, 2022, surrounded by his family. Born on January 10, 1938 in Beaver Falls, PA, John was the son of the late John R. Knowlson and Laura A. Knowlson.

John retired as a nuclear quality control inspector. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and watching his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. John was in the Army, serving in Huntsville, AL on the Man to the Moon Project.

Besides his wife, John is survived by his son, Matthew J. Knowlson of Moncks Corner, SC and daughter, Teresa Wilson of Hanahan, SC, two grandsons, Christian of Vienna, WV and Noah of Hanahan, SC, and great-granddaughter Shaelya of Vienna, WV.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 6:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, Goose Creek, SC. 869, St. James Ave., Goose

The service will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 11:00 am. The burial will be held at a later date.
