John P. Gaertner

Rev. John Gaertner, age 79, entered eternal rest while at Auburndale Oaks Nursing Center in Winter Haven, Florida on Friday, January 2, 2015. He is survived by his wife of nearly seven years, Marilyn Porter Gaertner.; three grown children, Katherine Smith of Charleston, Philip Gaertner of Newton, Kansas, Wendy Lawrila of Attleboro, Massachusetts, their spouses and six grandchildren. John is also survived by an older brother, Max Gaertner with family in Hatfield PA and a younger sister, Ruth Gable and husband of Huntingdon Valley, PA. The funeral service will be held at Grace Alliance Church, 8101 Northside Dr. North Charleston 29420 on Wednesday, January 7th, 2015, at 1:00 pm, with burial following at Live Oak Cemetery on Route 61 in West Ashley.
