John Joseph Fiedler

John Joseph Fiedler, 79 of Bluffton, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Born on
July 24, 1943 in Baltimore City, MD was a Son of the late Annie Fiedler (Johnson) and John Fiedler. John
spent the majority of his early life in Maryland, working as a Manager for Montgomery County
Government. His last 20 years were spent in retirement in Bluffton, with his wife Marleen. He was a
devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and generous and kind friend to all who knew him. He
enjoyed reading, traveling, visiting with his large family and many friends, playing poker and cards and
spending as much time as he could with Marleen during their 56 years of marriage. John was a lifelong
Catholic who graduated from Loyola University and was active in the Catholic church. John was an
exemplary Christian, loyal servant and role model for all who knew him.
John is survived by Marleen Fiedler, children Christine Fiedler, John (Stephanie) Fiedler, Diane (John)
Andrews, Michelle (Billy) Hahn, Michael (Daisy) Fiedler and grandchildren, Zachary Hahn, Keeghan
Andrews, Maxwell Fiedler, McCrady Andrews, Jonathan Fiedler, Madilyn Hahn
A family funeral mass was celebrated in St. Clare of Assisi in Charleston, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial
