John Beck Gilmore, 75, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, died, Thursday, November 2, 2017.
John was born in Washington, PA, son of the late Charles and Dorothy Gilmore.
John received his BA from Washington and Jefferson College in 1964 and worked for 35 years in textile sales and management. Since moving to Mt. Pleasant South Carolina in 2003, he has been employed at the Isle of Palms Marina.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Becky; daughter, Beth Berrigan, and her husband Brian of Mt. Pleasant; son, John L. Gilmore and wife My of Yardley PA; four granddaughters, Sydney and Renee Gilmore of Yardley PA, Lanie and Lauren Berrigan of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Charles E. Gilmore and his wife Nancy of Reistertown, MD; sister-in-law, Janie Gilmore of Washington, PA.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Judge David L. Gilmore of Washington, PA.
A Memorial Gathering will held Monday, November 6, 2017 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL.
