Joan Vivian Hulsey, 84, of Moncks Corner, wife to Robert L. Hulsey of 59 years, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Born on July 16, 1936 in Middleton, Nova Scotia, Canada. Joan was a daughter of the late, William J. Davies and Viola Vivian Davies.
Joan accomplished many things during her lifetime, most notable was her devotion to family and her volunteer work with AARP. She enjoyed life to the fullest, especially fishing, cooking and absolutely loved playing pool and bingo.
In addition to her husband, Joan is survived by her sister, Winnie Sieverts and her husband, Pete Sieverts of Spring Hill, Florida; her great-niece Toby Lidwin, her husband Daryl Lidwin and their two children, Julie and Jake; her daughter, Debra Ann Allen and son-in-law, Harold D. Allen of Wagener, South Carolina; her grandson, Thomas Speissegger of Charleston, South Carolina; her grandson, Lieutenant Colonel Jonathon Engemann and granddaughter-in-law, Katie Engemann of Cheyenne, Wyoming; along with six great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn Lake and her husband, Lieutenant Algan Lake of Laramie, Wyoming; Private Brandon Engemann of Fort Benning, Georgia, Mary Engemann, Gabriel Robert Engemann, Jonathon Courage Engemann, and Anna Marie Engemann all of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Last but not least, her faithful companion and buddy, her dog, Robo Junior.
Joan is greatly missed and loved by her husband, Chief Petty Officer Robert L. Hulsey, United States Navy, Retired.
