Jimmie Leaphart, 71, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

Born on October 19, 1952, in Lancaster, SC, Jimmie was the son of Evelyn Adams Leaphart and Robert Leaphart.

Jimmie was a loving husband of 50 years to his wife Beth and a father of 2 sons. He was a veteran of the USMC where he was a baker which led him to be an amazing cook throughout his life. He was an avid sports fan who absolutely loved his Clemson Tigers and Atlanta Braves and never missed a game. Jimmie loved his dogs Lucky, Cosmo, and Holly Belle so much and it brought him great joy to give them rides around the neighborhood in his truck. He and his son, Michael, also enjoyed playing video games throughout the day. He was very passionate about serving at his church, Crosstowne Christian, assisting in guest services with his wife. He will always be remembered by his unique laugh and never hesitating to help anyone.

Jimmie is preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Leaphart.

Jimmie is survived by his wife, Beth Leaphart; sons, Darrell and Michael Leaphart; parents, Robert and Evelyn Leaphart; brother, Richard Leaphart; and sister, Darlene O'Byrne.

The memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Crosstowne Christian Church, 1941 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29414.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crosstowne Christian Church
