Jeremy Dwayne Rice, 41 years old of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on February 2, 2022. He was born on October 15, 1980, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Dwayne and Belinda Rice. He moved to Charleston when he was 8 years old and grew up on James Island, graduating in 1999 from Garrett Academy. Jeremy grew up with a passion for anything that had a motor, starting with his first motorcycle at just 5 years old, a hobby that would continue throughout his entire life. In addition, he loved driving cars, especially his Camaro, and shooting guns. He loved just about anything that went fast or made a loud noise. Jeremy was a skilled mechanic and carpenter, he could fix anything with his hands. He loved passing on his knowledge of all things mechanical to his children. He will be remembered for his ability to connect to people, willingness to lend a helping hand, mischievous nature which would ensure that all had a good time, and a smile that lit up the room. His greatest legacy was his children and the impact that he had on each of them.
He is survived by his daughters Hannah, Kylie, Kendall, and Mallory Rice and their mother Brenda, sons Tyler and Hunter Rice and their mother Jessica, granddaughter Valerie Donovan (Kendall), father Dwayne Rice, mother Belinda Rice and her husband Shawn VanBuren, sister Ashley Rice and her husband Matthew Mizner, niece Charlotte Mizner, grandfather Fred "Hank" Sabback and best friend considered as a brother Matthew Bailey. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Colleen Kissinger and maternal grandmother Charlotte Sabback.
Jeremy will be loved and missed but never forgotten by family and friends.
