Jeanne D. Ochiltree, 95, of Mt. Pleasant, SC entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. She was born on Monday, April 18, 1921 in St. Louis, MO to the late Mrs. Henrietta K. DeHas and the late Mr. Walter DeHas. Jeanne attended Lawrence College in Appleton, WI, then worked as an airline stewardess for United Airlines, and eventually co-founded the Washington D.C. Chapter for the organization “Clipped Wings†for retired United Airlines stewardesses. She enjoyed designing flower arrangements, needlepoint, reading and poetry, and eating licorice. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, David W. Ochiltree, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; four daughters, Lynn Heaton (Jay), of Saint Marys, GA, Catherine O. Hause (John), of Nashville, TN, Dr. Ann O. Griffin, of Raleigh, NC, and Dede C. Crosmer (Walt), of Morrisville, NC; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; and many loving friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Rodenberg Chapel, Franke at Seaside, on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Franke Chapel Fund or Lutheran Hospice, 1885 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
