Jeanette Elaine Cone Kotowski, 68, of Goose Creek, was taken home to be with her family in heaven. She was born on November 3, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Francis and Dorothy Cone. Jan worked for the Hicks, Woods and Booker tax service after graduating from business college until retirement. She was also an Ombudsman while on board the USS Lewis & Clark responsible for the welfare of the ladies left behind during the ships deployment. Other previous jobs that she worked were at the cafeteria at Stratford High School and an associate at Sam's Club. Jan is survived by her husband, George Kotowski; daughter, Christina Mari Jackson and her husband Brian; sons, Raymond Michael Kotowski and his wife Brandy Wombwell-Kotowski, Christopher Allen Kotowski and his wife Stacey Kotowski; grandchildren Zachary Morrin, Brittany Madray, Kayla Morrin, Dakota Morrin, Zachary Wombwell, Jackson Kotowski, Brogan Kotowski, Elloree Kotowski, and one great-grandchild Karley Jackson; siblings, Catherine Matthews, Raymond Cone, Sheri Harmon, Michael Cone and Jeffrey Cone. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Alzheimer’s Research and Intrepid Hospice so that we can defeat this horrible disease. Without Hospice, her life would have been much harder.
