Jean Harriet Wilson

Jean Harriet Wilson, 94, entered into eternal rest on January 17, 2025.

Jean was the widow of Frank L. Wilson, who passed away on December 28, 2004. Jean was born July 12, 1930, in Charleston, the daughter of Erline Carey and Frank E. Steel. 

Her parents; her brother, Frank E. Steel, Jr.; sister-in-law, Florence W. Cook, and special cousin, Betty M. Stelljes predeceased her. 

Jean was a graduate of Cathedral Grammar School and Bishop England High School. Jean grew up in downtown Charleston until she was 16 and then her family moved West of the Ashley. Following high school, Jean worked for Legare and Rhett Real Estate and Insurance on Broad Street for 10 years. 

Jean was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and Perpetual Adoration. 

Jean is survived by her son, Andrew Wilson; a niece, Darlene Simpson (Mike); her nephews, Michael Cook and Paul Wilson; two grandnieces, Patricia Simpson and Erin Davis; and two grand-nephews, Jamie Simpson and Chad Cook.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 5 St. Teresa Drive, Charleston, SC 29407. The burial will be held at 1:30 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery in Charleston, South Carolina.

In Lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Building Fund, 5 St Theresa Drive, Charleston, SC 29407 - or, St Jude's Childrens Hospital, 201, St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
