Jean Norma Nelson (Paul)

Jean Norma Nelson, “Angel”, 72, of Goose Creek, passed away December 16, 2013. She was born February 11, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI, a daughter of the late Carl Paul and Erna Rahn. Jean volunteered for the Goose Creek High School Choral department for over 20 years and also the All Saints Chapel with Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed ceramics and sewing. Her family remembers her as a loving, dedicated mother, wife, grandmother, and daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William H. Nelson, Jr.; one sister, Carla Paul and one grandson, Elijah Penn. Survivors include one son, James D. Nelson of Goose Creek; 2 daughters, Eileen Rinehardt and her husband, Joey, of Concord, NC, and Sandra Ross and her husband, Ed, of Concord, NC; 4 grandchildren, Courtney Agee, Sierra Penn, Thomas Penn and Emma Ross. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, December 20, 2013 in the Chapel of McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 869 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Goose Creek High School Choral department.
