Jasper Leland Cumbee III (Jay)

Jasper Leland Cumbee, III (Jay), 61, husband of Donna Cumbee, of Awendaw,
South Carolina, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 29, 2018.

He was born on August 22,1956 in Charleston, South Carolina to Jasper and Rosie (Lisenby) Cumbee.

Jay was an avid hunter, fisher and outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being a Granddaddy to Wyatt, Phoenix and Gunner. He was an active member and former deacon of East Cooper Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Cumbee; daughters Lisa and Jessica Cumbee; sons Lee Cumbee and his wife Becca, and Adam Cumbee and his wife Kara; grandsons Wyatt and Gunner Cumbee; granddaughter Phoenix Calfee; and brothers Richard Wayne Cumbee and Dale Robert Cumbee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Rosie Cumbee.

The family will receive friends on August 2, 2018 from 11:00AM - 12:00PM at East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road, Charleston, SC, 29464.

The Celebration of Life Services will be August 2, 2018 at 12:00PM at East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road, Charleston, South Carolina, 29464. A burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Reception to follow at East Cooper Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to East Cooper Baptist Church or Palmetto Christian Academy, each at 361 Egypt Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
