Jared Grant Murphy

Jared Grant Murphy, 34, of Moncks Corner, passed away April 15, 2016. Born in Albuquerque, NM, he was the son of Doug and Trish Murphy and Rene Lape and husband to Sabrina Reed Murphy. Jared grew up outside of Albuquerque, NM and later moved to California and graduated from Saugus High School outside of Los Angeles. After high school he joined the United States Coast Guard and served his country for four years. He later moved to South Carolina with his wife and began his career with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office. He enjoyed drawing and photography. Jared loved his wife, children and family and cherished the time spent with them. He is survived by his wife, Sabrina Murphy; children, Dylan, Emily and Aiden; parents, Doug and Trish Murphy of California and Rene Lape of New Mexico; sisters, Jordan Murphy of California and Tracy Coleman of Colorado; Father and Mother-in-Law, Bill and Donna Reed. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL, 869 St. James Avenue. Graveside service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. in Berkeley Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner.
