Janice Rose Gallagher

Janice Rose Gallagher beloved wife, devoted mother, and passionate advocate, passed away on September 29, 2024. She was the heart of her family, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Janice was a true patriot, deeply committed to her country and her values. A proud American and lifelong Republican, she held her beliefs firmly and lived with great integrity, inspiring those around her with her conviction and love for her nation.

She was married to the love of her life, Paul Gallagher, with whom she shared over 50 years of deep companionship and unwavering devotion. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on love, family, and shared passions. Her pride and joy was her daughter to whom she was a constant source of strength, guidance, and unconditional love.

A lifelong animal lover, Janice had a deep compassion for all creatures, always finding joy in the company of her beloved pets and advocating for their care. Her kindness extended to all living beings, and her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and the gentle presence of the animals she loved so dearly.

Janice leaves behind her daughter, Jillian Findlay of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and two grandsons Preston and Logan. She is also survived by her brother Dennis Piazza also of Mt. Pleasant. She will be deeply missed but remembered for her strong spirit, her devotion to her family, and her unshakable love for her country.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Mount Pleasant, SC on Thursday October 10th at 11:00am. The interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital @ donatestjude.org or Charleston Animal Society @ charlestonanimalsociety.org in her name.
