Janice E. Willis, 94, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, widow of Fred Willis, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016. There will be a prayer service for her today at Grace Episcopal Cathedral Charleston in the Guerry Chapel at 3:30 PM. Graveside services will be in Irving, Texas on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:30 PM at Oak Grove Memorial Garden, 1413 E. Irving Blvd. Irving, TX. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society. Janice was born on March 24, 1922 in Beaumont, Texas a daughter of the late Drew Fagan and Mattie Belle Lee Fagan. She was a sister to the late Jaqueline Borden, and Flo Dora Grigsby. She was a mother to the late Lindsey Willis and is survived by daughter, Regina Elaine Kozek and her husband, Edward P. Kozek of Folly Beach, SC. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Kyla Renee Wilharm of Charleston, SC, step-grandchildren Edward Paul Kozek and Paige Panzer-Kozek of New York City, NY, Pamela Christine Williams and Timothy Williams of Bedford MA. and great-grandchildren Owen Patrick Williams, Andrew Joseph Williams, Theolonius Rex Kozek, and Zsa Zsa Kate Kozek. She also leaves brother-in-law Rev. Donald Glen Willis and nieces and nephews: Donald Scott, Joanna Sibley, Martha Willis, Lynn Stuart, Rev. Donald Fred Willis, David Grigsby, Drury Grigsby, Annie Laurie Grigsby, Ann Borden, and Hans Borden. Janice loved her family and friends and was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church of Irving, TX. She and her husband raised their family and extended family with joy and laughter in Irving for 50 years and moved to Mt. Pleasant in 2005 to be near family. She will be missed.
