James Allen Clarkin, age 22, of Johns Island, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. Jim was born on August 27, 1991 in Mt. Pleasant, SC to Jean T. “Terry†Clarkin and Percy A. Green, Jr. He worked at Longhorn Steakhouse. He was an avid skateboarder, loved music and was learning to create his own mixes. Jim enjoyed being outdoors, especially the woods and near local waterways. In addition to his parents, survivors include his sister, Megan Clarkin of Johns Island; his uncle and father figure John Clarkin, uncles Aaron Clark and James R. Clarkin, Jr. (K.C.); grandmother, Patricia Green and his aunt, Barbi Green. He is also survived by many loving family members and close friends. Jim was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James R. Clarkin and Jean R. Clarkin and his paternal grandfather, Percy A. Green, Sr. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 6pm until 8pm at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Pleasant Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 950 Darrell Creek Trail, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466.
