J L Gibson

Mr. J.L. Gibson, 85, of James Island, husband of Cleadia Gibson, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Veterans Victory House in Walterboro, SC. Born in Barbourville, KY on January 17, 1929, J.L. was the son of the late Lonzo Gibson and the late Rebecca Farmer Gibson. He was a retired carpenter with Gibson Bros. Construction. In addition to his wife, Mr. Gibson is survived by 1 daughter, Sherry Smith; 4 sons, Daniel Gibson (Sumiko), Michael Gibson, Timothy Gibson and Mark Gibson (Penni); 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral arrangements are private. Mr. Gibson’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the VA Hospital and the Veterans Victory house for their wonderful care.
