Hunter James Taylor

Hunter James Taylor, 15, of Summerville, SC passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024.

Born on August 12, 2008, in Charleston, SC, he was the son of Nichol Settle and Eric Taylor.

Hunter was a passionate person.  Some things in his life he was passionate about for only a short time and then he would move on to something new.  However, there were a few things in his life that he latched on to and never grew tired of. There are a few things in particular that stick out. Hunter was a lover of people, if he cared for you it was for life.  There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for those people in his life.  MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital also meant the world to him.  He was always ready to raise funds and advocate for them.  In his own words, "MUSC means family".  He spent time being a Children's Miracle Network Champion, being the ambassador to the hospital, and working every event possible to raise awareness.  Baseball, Hunter adored baseball.  He loved The Braves and of course The Summerville Miracle League.  We absolutely can't forget UFC. He loved talking with and quizzing his uncles about all the fights.  He was so impressed with the men who chose this as their career and he admired their dedication.  Hunter liked all things technology.  He would watch scammer and various YouTube videos for hours, but only if he wasn't out cruising the paths in the golf cart with family and friends.  Last but definitely not least, Hunter was passionate about food. His dream was to become a chef.  He would talk daily about how he couldn't wait for the day he could start working with his Uncle Jeff in the kitchen.

Hunter is preceded in death by Angelo (Nonno) DelBianco of St. Petersburg, FL.

Hunter is survived by his parents; his sister, Emma Taylor; and his brother, Matthew Purdie.
