Hilde Eickenberg Williamson

Hilde Eickenberg Williamson, 83, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024.

Born on November 12, 1940, in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Frieda Bursky Eickenberg and the late August Eickenberg.

Hilde was an Arthur Murray gold medal ballroom dancer and instructor. She, along with her husband, Roger, worked together in the recreational boat business for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening and was the President of the Fort Johnson Estates Garden Club for two consecutive years. She enjoyed boating, fishing and picnicking with her family. Her most favorite thing in the world was walking through life’s journey with the love of her life, Roger, for slightly over 64 years.

Hilde is preceded in death by her parents, August and Frieda Eickenberg and her brother August Frederich Eickenberg, Jr.

Hilde is survived by her husband of 64 years, Roger Powell Williamson; daughters, Terry Guy-Williams, Janet Williamson, and Jeni Thomas; son, Roger Powell Williamson Jr.; grandchildren, Katelyn, Mariah, Michaela, and Austin; great grandchildren, Noah, Makenzie, Kiah, and Bobbie Rae.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at New Beginnings Church James Island, 849 Fort Johnson Road in Charleston, SC 29412, with the funeral service at 12:00 PM also at the church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road, Charleston, SC 29412.
