Harriet Fellows, a resident of Charleston, SC, died Saturday the 19th of July at her home on Daniel Island. Born Harriet Hurt Freeman, in 1925 of Huntingdon, TN., Harriet was the youngest of six children (James, George, Francis, Eugenia, Volla), and attended the University of Okla-homa (Norman) until marrying McClellan Fellows at the close of World War II. Harriet and Mac enjoyed an international life, living in Caracas - Venezuela, New Castle Upon Tyne - England, Paris - France, Genoa and Rome - Italy, and Brussels - Belgium, before settling in Cincinnati, OH in 1970. In retirement, Harriet and Mac moved to Washington DC where, following Mac’s death, Harriet volunteered at Sibley Hospital from 1986 to 1994. Following retirement from Sibley Hospital, Harriet moved to Charleston, SC to be close to family. She was a lifelong teacher of the Bible and enjoyed singing in the choir at St. Philips Church, Charleston, SC. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Fedelini (m. Sergio Fedelini) and two sons, Eugene Fellows and Charles Fellows (m. Lucy Fellows), along with their 7 children and 7 grand-children A memorial will be held at St Philips Church, Charleston on July 31, at 11:00am.
