Gunars Vitolins

Gunars Vitolins, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died on Thursday, January 29, 2015. Gunars served in the U.S. Army and was a rubber chemist at Exxon Mobil for many years. He was an avid reader, sports enthusiast and studied the Russian language. Gunars was a member of the Leticia Fraternity and he was quite the traveler. His family remembers him as a loving, caring and compassionate husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Ruta Vitolins, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two daughters, Ivete M Teters (Arvis), and Ms. Daina Renate Vitolins, both of Mount Pleasant, SC; and one granddaughter, Ingrid Teters.
