Gregory Brian 'Greg' Simpson

Mr. Gregory Brian Simpson, age 51, of Charleston, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014. Born on December 6, 1962 in Brevard, NC, Greg was the son of the late Robert Ray and Melba F. Simpson. He attended Western Carolina University, graduated from Catawba Community College with a degree in respiratory therapy and was a respiratory therapist with Roper St. Francis Hospital. Greg also served in the US Navy from 1983 until he was honorably discharged in 1987. Survivors include his fiancé Kathy Edwards and her daughter Gracie Edwards; his sister, Rayna Lewis of Asheville, NC; his brother, Robert Simpson of Glenville, NC; stepsons, Logan Berry and Landon Berry, both of Greenville, SC, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held at McALISTER-SMITH, JAMES ISLAND CHAPEL on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 5:30pm with a memorial service following at 6:30pm.
