Gordon Berdan Hope, Jr

Gordon Berdan Hope, 82, of Goose Creek, husband to Anita Louise Bennett-Hope (Curry) of 13 years, entered into eternal rest on February 16, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 20, 1938 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Gordon was a son of the late Gordon Berdan Hope Sr. and Molly McMillan Hope.
Gordon was retired from the United States Navy in 1975. He worked for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Police Department for ten years. Afterwards he worked until his retirement from NCIS in Little Creek, VA in 2001. Gordon was a life member of the VFW 10256 of Goose Creek, SC and a member of the Fleet Reserves 269 of Goose Creek, SC. Gordon enjoyed fishing, bowling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gordon loved to watch wrestling but most of all he enjoyed hearing what his son Gordon (who is a professional bowler) scored in his games.
In addition to his wife, Gordon is survived by sons Gordon Hope, III (Robin), David A Bennett, Jr (Tiffany), Edward T Bennett (Catrina) and daughters Eva Hope, Loretha Meyer (Craig), and Charlotte Herriott (Michael). Grandchildren, Faith Hope, Brad Gavin, Kaitlyn Bennett, Amber Bennett, Sarah Bennett, Hannah Booth Fischer, Lilly Christensen, Edward Bennett, Jr, Kathryn Bennett, Payson Bennett, Khane Bennett, Madison Meyer, Owen Meyer, Mollie Meyer, Tiffany Washington, Jasmine Hobson. Great-Grandchildren, Jada Washington, Jayona Washington, Zamaria Collins, Kynedi Thomas, and Ashton Bennett. He is also survived by a brother-in-law Alfred Guglielmo.
The service will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date.
