Glynn Stephen Thomas, 76, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Born on November 23, 1947 in Halifax, Yorkshire, England. He was the son of the late Elizabeth Cox Thomas and Jim Thomas.

Glynn spent his working life in the textile industry. He followed textiles from England to New England and then, to South Carolina, where he managed a mill for many years. He loved his career immensely and gained great satisfaction from his work. He loved his family, including his pets. Animals and nature preservation were always the charities he was more than willing to support. Glynn also loved sports. He played rugby and soccer in his teens and later, took up golf, tennis and pickleball. He was on a court nearly everyday and he enjoyed all of the friendships he made along the way.

Glynn is survived by his wife of 52 years, Stephanie Thomas; his daughter, Olivia Sigman; grandchildren, June, Winnie and Ricky Sigman, all of Mount Pleasant; and twin sister, Jaqueline Hurlin, of England.

The family will receive friends privately at home on his birthday. There will also be a celebration held in England, in the spring.
