Gloria Pinto Bresnihan

Gloria Pinto Bresnihan, widow of Terrence J. Bresnihan, died on Saturday, May 3, 2014 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She was born on July 22, 1930 in Charleston, SC to the late Marguerite and Andrew Pinto. Gloria was educated at St. Joseph's Parochial School and Bishop England High School of Charleston, SC. She was a registered nurse and a graduate of St. Francis Xavier Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. She was employed at St. Francis Bon Secours Hospital for more than forty years. Gloria was a life-long member of St. Francis Nurses Alumni, a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church, the Perpetual Adoration Society of the Church, the Senior Group and Rosary Makers of Christ Our King Catholic Church. She made many new friends and spent pleasant times volunteering at East Cooper Community Outreach. She is survived by her four children: Terrence J. Bresnihan Jr. (Geri), of Farmington Hills, MI, Kevin T. Bresnihan, Gerald J. Bresnihan and Therese B. Davis (Mike), all of Mt. Pleasant, SC; eight grandchildren: Jennifer, Mary, John, Brigid, Ryan, Michael, Terrence III and William; one sister, Marguerite Britz Moscati; a brother, John 'Buddy' Pinto; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, May 7 in the chapel of McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. The rosary will be recited at 6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Thursday, May 8 at Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1149 Russell Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Burial will follow in Mt.
