Gloria K. Britt

Gloria K. Britt, 72, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, a Team-Lead for SAS Retail Services, died Sunday afternoon surrounded by family at Lowcountry Community Hospice House.

Mrs. Britt was born on March 7, 1953 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Clemons Edward Bell and Ada Binnarr Thomas; and step-father Rouse H. Thomas. She was a member of Pointe North Church and a former member of Midway Baptist Church.

She loved boating, cooking, golf cart rides and spending time with her family and friends. She was also an avid gardener, spending time cultivating her plants. She was a hard worker always putting one hundred percent into everything she did. Gloria was a great friend, amazing mother, and an incredibly amazing "Gigi". Most importantly she was a loving wife that will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clemons Edward Bell; mother, Ada Binnarr Thomas; step-father, Rouse H. Thomas; sister, Vicki Thomas and brother, Ralph Hampton "R.B." Thomas.

Surviving are her husband, Kent O. Britt; a son, Anthony F. Dennis (Angel) of Bonneau; a daughter, Aimee B. Peterson (Terry) of Mount Pleasant; two sisters, Sandra B. Phipps (Carol Napier) of Conway, and Angie Zahn (Clyde) of Macedonia; a brother, Eddie Bell of Manning; her grandchildren: Amber D. Gatlin (Tracy) of Saint Stephans, Britt R. Peterson and Brice D. Peterson; and two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Brooklyn.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in Goose Creek (869 St. James Ave).

The burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Harleyville Cemetery located at S. Railroad Ave. Harleyville, South Carolina (101 Commerce Dr).
