Gertrude Violet Stone

Gertrude Violet Stone, 99, of Goose Creek, passed away November 14, 2015. Born in Florence, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lena Sansbury Collins and wife to the late Reedy Stone. She retired from Bruce Hospital, where she worked as an Insurance Clerk. Mrs. Stone enjoyed crocheting angels and making baby blankets for the children at the hospital and the Ronald McDonald House. She is survived by her son, Remington Stone and wife Janice of Goose Creek; grandchildren, Teresa Hensley and husband Gary, Rusty Stone, Sherry Ann Inabinet and Jerry Stone. Mrs. Stone is also survived by six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by one son, Wayne Stone. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL.
