Gertrude R. Mathews (Rumph)

Mrs. Gertrude R. Mathews, 94, of Summerville, widow of Aaron Delbert Mathews passed away Wednesday, April 08, 2015. Mrs. Mathews was born on February 8, 1921 in St. George, SC to the late James Barney Rumph and the late Daisy Canaday Rumph. She was a homemaker. Gertrude is survived by her son Tommy Mathews and his wife Sue; 2 grandchildren, Sarah Mathews and Aaron Mathews and his wife Lauren; 3 great-granddaughters, Emma, Anne Thomas and Nora Mathews; her sister, Annabelle Jenkins, and her nephew, Richard Goehring. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Rumph Family Cemetery and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM at The Village of Summerville, 201 W. 9th North Street, Summerville, SC.
