Gertrude McCall Gloster, 100, of Goose Creek, died Friday, December 05, 2014. She was born December 28, 1913 in Clio, SC to the late George and Alice McCall. Gertie was raised in New Jersey until 1923, she then relocated to Washington DC from 1940-1967 along with her husband Vance Gloster. She was a Kindergarten Assistant at Beauvoir Private School in DC. Vance moved her to Goose Creek, SC shortly before he died. She was then baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1970 and was a member of the Goose Creek East Congregation until her death. Gertie enjoyed playing guitar, singing, crocheting, knitting, and was an avid gardener. She will be remembered as a fun-loving and jovial friend that will be missed by many. Gertrude is survived by her good friends Patricia and Bill Stuckey and Linda Washington; special grandchildren, Scott Stuckey, Chris Stuckey, and Julie Stuckey McDonald; ten nieces and nephews, and many beloved “adopted “family members. She is predeceased by her husband, Vance Gloster. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday December 27, 2014, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 108 Sewee St, Goose Creek, SC.
